Before founding FutureSolve, Ken retired from Corporate Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer for SunTrust Banks, Inc. in February 2017 and is President of KJC Advisory Services, a firm providing advice on issues related to strategy execution, acquisition integration, and executive succession planning.

In his CHRO role, he oversaw human resources strategy, talent management, merger integration, compensation, benefits, staffing, human resources systems/payroll, compliance, SunTrust University, and leadership development. SunTrust market cap grew from $14BN to $25BN during this 6-year term, and efficiency ratio improved by over $1 billion from 72 percent to less than 62 percent.

McDaniel became a vice president of Graham Holdings Company (then The Washington Post Company) in September 2001; she was named senior vice president in 2008. On the operational side, McDaniel oversaw Newsweek, Slate, the Root, The Gazette Community Newspapers and The Herald. She also oversaw all aspects of human resources for the Company and its affiliates. She served as managing director of Newsweek magazine from January 2008 until the sale of the magazine in September 2010.

Before joining the corporate staff of Graham Holdings, McDaniel spent 17 years at Newsweek, where she was managing editor and Washington bureau chief, supervising the magazine’s reporters and researchers in 23 editorial bureaus worldwide as well as in New York and Washington. She oversaw Newsweek’s coverage of the Monica Lewinsky story, which received a National Magazine Award for reporting in 1999.

Previously, McDaniel served as an assistant managing editor and chief of correspondents at Newsweek. She also covered the Bush administration as White House correspondent from 1988 to 1992. She was a key member of the 1992 election reporting team that earned Newsweek a Best in the Business award from the American Journalism Review and two National Magazine Awards for General Excellence and Single-Topic Issue. She first joined the magazine as a Washington correspondent in January 1984 to report on legal issues. McDaniel worked for seven years at the Dallas Times Herald.

McDaniel joined The Match Group Board in 2014.

McDaniel is involved in a number of philanthropic efforts, including serving on the Board of Strathmore Performing Arts Center in Bethesda, MD and Dana Farber’s Cancer Institute’s Basic Science Visiting Committee in in 2015 and the Susan F. Smith Center for Women’s Cancers Visiting Committee in 2018. She previously served as Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees of St. Mary’s College, a public honors college in Maryland.

McDaniel received a BA degree from Vanderbilt University and a Master of Studies in Law degree from Yale Law School.

Ms. Jones currently serves on the boards of Virtus Investment Partners (NASDAQ: VRTS), where she chairs the Compensation Committee and serves as a member of the Governance Committee; CEATI, a provider of technology solutions to power utility customers through the development and sharing of industry best practices; Linkage, Inc., a global provider of leadership data, insights, and frameworks; and, TI-People, a technology-enabled employee experience analytics and solutions company.

Additionally, she serves on the Board of Advisors of Pamlico Capital Management, a private equity firm that invests in middle market companies primarily in the business & technology, healthcare, and communications sectors; the Board of Advisors of Exec Online, which partners with top-tier universities to provide leadership development solutions that drive organizational impact; and, the Capital Area Advisory Board for the National Association of Corporate Directors.

Ms. Jones served until mid-2017 as the Chief Administrative Officer of CEB, Inc., a best practice insight and technology company whose mission is to develop innovative solutions to enhance corporate performance. As CEB’s CAO, she served as a Corporate Officer, with direct responsibility for Technology, Legal, Human Resources, Diversity & Inclusion, Communications, Customer Events, Citizenship, and New Product Development. Prior to her role at CEB, Ms. Jones held global executive leadership and operating positions at T. Rowe Price, Aon, ODI, and Citicorp Mortgage, Inc.
She is a Board Leadership Fellow of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD), and has received the CERT certification in cybersecurity oversight from that organization in conjunction with Carnegie Mellon. She also participated in the development of NACD’s Directorship Certification™ examination, which certifies that directors possess the foundational knowledge to effectively contribute in the boardroom, across 2019-2020.

Previously, Mike was Wharton’s Executive Education CEO & Associate Vice Dean, where he worked closely with the Vice Dean to set the strategic direction for the Division, overseeing business development, faculty engagement, and program design to grow our portfolio of custom and open enrollment programs in the US and overseas.

Prior to Wharton, Mike served as the Associate Dean of Executive Education at Columbia Business School, where he led the team that grew revenue more than 50% over five years by working closely with faculty and staff.

Before joining Columbia, Mike served as Director of Executive Education at the University of Chicago Booth School of business. At Booth, he was responsible for overall strategy, P&L, and marketing of both open and custom programs. He also launched programs in Barcelona, Singapore and London as part of Booth’s global outreach.

Earlier in his career, Mike worked as the Director of the Executive Education Center at the Institutio Centroamericano de Adminsitracion de Empreses in San Jose, Costa Rica. While there, he managed a 12-country executive education program that provided training to more than 3,800 executives annually.
Mike holds a Masters of International Affairs from Columbia and a BA in Social Science from the University of Michigan.

Her new book is Seeing Around Corners: How to Spot Inflection Points in Business Before They Happen (Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, 2019). She has written three other books, including Discovery Driven Growth, cited by Clayton Christensen as creating one of the most important management ideas ever developed. She is a highly sought-after speaker at exclusive corporate events around the globe, such as the Global Peter Drucker Forum.

She received her Ph.D. from the Wharton School (University of Pennsylvania) and has degrees with honors from Barnard College and the Columbia School of International and Public Affairs.

Before joining the founding team at ExecOnline in 2012, Mark was a Managing Director at CEB, supporting heads of human resources and their teams in the CLC-HR practice. Mark was also a leader in the strategy, management, and innovation practice and a member of CEB’s European leadership team. Mark helped successfully launch the Business Leadership Forum serving divisional presidents.
Mark received a B.A. in History from Princeton where he was co-captain of the tennis team. Mark played tennis professionally for eight years in Europe and on the ATP tour before earning his MBA from Kellogg.

Stuart is the recipient of the 2007 Kauffman Prize Medal for Distinguished Research in Entrepreneurship, which is granted every other year to recognize one individual’s contributions to entrepreneurship research. He has received teaching awards at Columbia Business School and Berkeley Haas. He has won the Administrative Science Quarterly’s Scholarly Contribution (best paper) award, and other recognitions for scholarly contributions. He is a Research Fellow at Oxford University’s Center for Corporate Reputation.

Much of Stuart’s research has examined social networks, particularly their role in entrepreneurship, innovation, and strategy. In some of his current projects, he is investigating email networks and employment outcomes in a variety of companies; the referral network among doctors in the U.S. healthcare system; matching in a few online networks; and the collaboration network in the academic life sciences.

At Harvard and Columbia, he served as course head for Entrepreneurship and Strategy Formulation, respectively. He has taught MBA and executive courses in corporate strategy, mergers and acquisitions, innovation and technology strategy, leadership, venture capital and private equity, and entrepreneurship. He launched and remains Co-director of the Executive Program in Corporate Strategy at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He is also the Founding Faculty Director of the Program on Competitive Strategy and Innovation at Berkeley Haas; and he has Co-directed Harvard Business School’s Creating Corporate-Level Advantage Strategy Program for senior executives. He has served as a consultant or executive educator at dozens of companies around the world. Currently, he is a member of the board of directors of HNTB Holdings and also advises a number of startups. He is on the Advisory Boards of ShanghaiTech School of Entrepreneurship and Management, PhilDev and Skydeck, a startup incubator at UC Berkeley.

Sanyin leads Duke University’s Coach K Leadership & Ethics Center at the Fuqua School of Business and is a professor at Duke's Pratt School of Engineering, and a faculty fellow at Duke Divinity School.
