To Our Partners, Alumni and Friends,
At ExecOnline, we consider ourselves to be a work family and right now our family is hurting deeply. Our heart goes out to George Floyd and his family as they cope with this terrible tragedy.
I believe we must honor his memory by stating unequivocally that Black Lives Matter—Ahmaud Arbery Matters. Walter Scott Matters. Eric Garner Matters. Trayvon Martin Matters. Every life lost at the hands of racism and injustice matters deeply to who we are and what we stand for as a society.
I founded ExecOnline because I also believe that, at times like this, leadership matters—brave, inclusive and purposeful leadership. True leaders of all races across our society are standing up to confront racism and we stand with them to ensure that we do not miss this opportunity to hold ourselves to a higher standard.
At ExecOnline, we are committed to contributing to the change we need to see. We are working with our partners to host a series of free webinars addressing how leaders can use their positions of power to promote change both within their organizations and their broader communities. We are also launching a free video series highlighting advice from progressive Chief Diversity Officers and Chief Human Resource Officers on how to make our organizations, and the broader communities in which we operate, more inclusive. Finally, we are donating to community organizations that are fighting for racial justice in our nation.
For us, inaction is not an option and we look forward to working with many of you to achieve true and lasting change.
In the words of Dr. King, “The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice.” Let’s bend it toward justice faster, together.
