  Adam Galinsky is the Vice Dean for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and the Paul Calello Professor of Leadership and Ethics at Columbia Business School. Professor Galinsky has published more than 200 scientific articles, chapters, and teaching cases in the fields of management and social psychology. His research and teaching focus on leadership, negotiations, diversity, decision-making, and ethics.

  Galinsky co-authored the best-selling book, "Friend & Foe" (Penguin Random House, 2015). The book offers a radically new perspective on conflict and cooperation and has received uniformly positive reviews from the New York Times, Financial Times, and The Economist. His Ted talk, "How to Speak Up for Yourself," is one of the most popular of all time with over 7.2 million views.

  His research has received numerous national and international awards from the scientific community. In 2016, he received Career Trajectory Award given to one researcher each year for “uniquely creative and influential scholarly productivity at or near the peak of one's scientific career.” Poets and Quants selected Professor Galinsky as one of the World’s 50 Best B-School Professors (2012).

  In 2022, Columbia University honored him its Mentoring Award for demonstrating “an exceptional commitment to faculty mentoring through their work with tenure-track and mid-career faculty in developing their careers.” He has received teaching awards at the Kellogg School of Management and Princeton University.

  William Klepper is the faculty director of Columbia Business School's Executive Education Developing and Leading High Performance Teams program. He has worked on custom programs for a number of corporations, including AT&T, Chase, DuPont, and General Electric.

  Professor William Klepper joined Columbia Business School in 1996 after more than 30 years as a general manager in higher education. He is a management professor who teaches executive leadership in the EMBA program and serves as the faculty director of the partnership with the Financial Times/Outstanding Directors Exchange on corporate governance. He also serves as academic director of the Executive Education program. His teaching and research interests are in the areas of executive learning, strategic leadership, and corporate governance. At Executive Education, he serves as faculty director of, and teaches in Columbia’s first ExecOnline program, Leading Strategic Growth, as well as in the General Management Leadership 2-week residential program.

  After more than 25 years as a senior executive of multinational businesses, Professor Peter Meola became a member of the faculty at Columbia Business School in New York. His primary areas of focus and passion are leadership of organizational culture, as well as strategic learning as a leadership process, which is uniquely applied within Columbia’s executive education programs, both open enrollment and custom. He also teaches MBA candidates in his popular elective, Organizational Culture Demystified: Leading and Creating a Winning Organization.

  Prior to joining the faculty, Peter held a variety of senior executive roles in several global firms, including Unilever (Foods), Lehn and Fink (Household Products), The Seagram Company (Distilled Spirits), Tropicana (Beverages), Burmah Castrol (Lubricants), and ExxonMobil (Energy). Prior to joining Columbia’s faculty, Meloa was a group executive at BP PLC (British Petroleum), and CEO of their Americas Lubricant Division, where he led a cross-cultural and cross-functional employee base with operations in more than 20 countries. In 2000, when BP PLC successfully acquired and integrated Burmah Castrol, Meola was an executive member of the Global Integration Team and the lead executive in the Americas. He was also an Executive Committee member of the Global Lubricants business and chair of their Human Resource Committee.

  Professor William Pietersen was raised in South Africa, and received a Rhodes Scholarship to Oxford University. After practicing law, he embarked on an international business career. Over a period of 20 years he served as the CEO of multibillion-dollar businesses such as Lever Foods, Seagram USA, Tropicana, and Sterling Winthrop’s Consumer Health Group. In 1998, Pietersen was named Professor of the Practice of Management at the Columbia University Graduate School of Business.

  Pierre Yared is the MUTB Professor of International Business, Senior Vice Dean for Faculty Affairs, and Vice Dean for Executive Education at Columbia Business School. His research, which has been published in leading academic journals, focuses on macroeconomic policy and political economy.

  Pierre is a research associate of the National Bureau of Economic Research and an associate editor of the American Economic Review. Yared teaches Global Economic Environment, a Core MBA course in macroeconomics for which he received the Dean’s Award for Teaching Excellence. He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and the Economic Club of New York. Yared received his AB in Economics from Harvard University and his PhD in Economics from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
